Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, or straighten sheet metal and metal plates. Ideal candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
•Set up and operate press brake machines (manual and/or CNC) to fabricate parts to specifications.
•Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine job specifications.
•Select proper tooling and materials based on job requirements.
•Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications.
•Make machine adjustments to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut as needed.
•Maintain equipment and tools by performing regular maintenance and reporting any issues.
•Keep accurate production and quality records.
•Follow all company safety procedures and actively participate in safety programs.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•1-3 years of experience operating press brake equipment
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
•Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Preferred Skills:
•Experience with CNC press brake programming.
•Forklift certification or willingness to be trained.
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices.
Work Environment:
•Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, metal, and moving machinery.
•Use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection) required.
