WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Newberry TanksEquipment, a leading steel tank fabricator serving the oil jobber, agriculture, industrial, and equipment contractors nationwide, is growing. We manufacture steel petroleum storage tanks, bulk oil dispensing tanks and distribute accessory equipment. To support our rapidly expanding parts and manufacturing operations in our Memphis, TN location, we are looking for a Press Brake Operator/Parts Fabricator. A successful candidate will efficiently and effectively:

•

Read and understand drawings to produce quality parts

•

Perform basic maintenance and inspection of equipment

•

Manually position metal components into press and larger pieces with overhead crane to perform proper brake forming per specifications

•

Unload and stack finished materials for transport to downstream departments

•

Follow instructions and be self-motivated enough to work with little supervision

•

Be able to work overtime when required

•

Keep work area in clean and neat condition

•

Practice safe work habits, participate in required safety training and programs

•

Have good communication skills and ability to work with others

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

•

Requires high school diploma or GED equivalency

•

Simple reading and arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of whole numbers and reading decimals; work with simple charts, drawings, and measuring equipment

EXPERIENCE

•

Minimum of three years of successful continuous employment in a commercial or industrial setting

•

Experience with shear and press brake

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•

Moderate physical effort; requires standing on for entire shift

•

Ability to lift to 60 lbs. throughout the day

•

Good eye and hand coordination

•

Visual acuity to perform most tasks

•

Must be able to climb, stoop, and bend to get up and down from forklift truck and perform various outside activities throughout shop and yard
