POSITION TITLE: Press Brake Operator
POSITION SUMMARY:
Operate hydraulic and CNC press brakes to produce parts according to specifications. Responsible for maintaining quality, following production schedules, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
•
Operate various hydraulic and CNC Press Brake machines to run production parts.
•
Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions daily.
•
Inspect parts during production to ensure they meet specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, and blueprints.
•
Accurately record production data as required.
•
Follow production schedules and complete assigned jobs on time.
•
Communicate with team members and department leads to ensure efficient workflow.
•
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including proper storage of tools, materials, and scrap.
•
Report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or material shortages to the supervisor promptly.
•
Perform all tasks to meet quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
•
May be required to follow other job-related instructions and duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
•
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production documentation.
•
Familiarity with standard precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
•
Basic shop math skills.
Training & Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience operating a press brake preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
•
Must be able to visually inspect parts, read documentation, and use measuring instruments.
•
Must have hearing ability to monitor machine sounds for safety and quality.
•
Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
Range of Pay: Based on experience
REPORTS TO: Shop Supervisor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
