Summary
Wire-Bond is seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator. As a Brake Press Operator you will set up and operate a brake press to produce precision parts and instruments.
Functions and Essential Duties:
•Ability to read and interpret blue prints and use basic measuring, quality and assurance tools and understanding tolerance requirements
•Knowledge of press brake operation, tooling, applications and limitations
•Performs operator daily maintenance of machine and tooling as required
•Set-up, adjusts, repairs or replace dies on press and auxiliary equipment in the department such as broken and worn parts, clutches, feed mechanisms, belts, pulleys, stop motions, counters, lubrication devices, etc.
•Adhere to and follow company’s health and safety policies and procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
•Perform additional responsibilities and assignments as directed by management
Education and Required Experience:
•High School Diploma or GED
•Must have at least one year prior experience operating a press brake
•Must have strong blue print reading capabilities and work with metric units
•All applicants must have steady work history with a good attendance record
•Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate well with management and fellow employees
•Must have the ability to read, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication to accomplish responsibilities and tasks
•Pre-employment drug screen and background check will be required as a condition of employment
Physical Requirements
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs during a shift
•Must be able to meet physical demands including standing for extend periods, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching, up to 8 hours a day
