A leading independent power producer is growing its strategy team and hiring a Energy Market Analyst

focused on techno-economic modeling for next-gen technologies like

carbon capture

hydrogen

, and

low-carbon gas processing

💡 This is a high-visibility role where you'll bridge engineering and commercial analytics — helping translate technical insight into investment decisions.

What You’ll Do:

- Build and maintain detailed cost/financial models for capital projects tied to energy transition technologies

- Conduct techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessments (e.g., using GREET or OpenLCA)

- Forecast commodity prices and assess regulatory impact on energy markets

- Work closely with leadership to deliver strategic insights that inform future investment

- Use tools such as Python, R, Excel, Bloomberg, and SNL to support data-driven decisions

What We’re Looking For:

- 5+ years in the energy industry in a commercial, engineering, or decision support role

- Deep knowledge of U.S. power, gas, and environmental credit markets

- Strong foundation in

mechanical or chemical engineering

and project economics

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to commercial stakeholders

- Previous experience with early-stage technology or cost estimation is a strong plus
