What You Can Expect

As a Data Scientist – Algorithmic Power Trading Advisor at ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (EEMNA), you will play a critical role in driving data-informed trading decisions by analyzing and enhancing internal price forecasting models. You will collaborate closely with the Head Trader and partner across software and data science teams to turn advanced models and statistical insights into real-time trading outcomes. Your work will directly influence trading strategy and portfolio performance in dynamic energy markets.

This position operates in a fast-paced, high-impact environment that demands a strong foundation in probabilistic thinking, uncertainty quantification, and statistical analysis. You’ll be responsible for evaluating the accuracy of forecasts, identifying opportunities for improvement, and building tools to monitor risk and strategy performance. The ideal candidate is analytically sharp, self-motivated, and thrives at the intersection of data science and financial decision-making.

Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
