Job Summary
The basic function of the Operations Manager of Mountain Side Plumbing is to direct all management policy and implement procedures that support the mission statement and provide for a positive profit structure. The Operations Manager occupies a position of trust and must ensure that the company is managed for the mutual benefit of the customers, owners, stockholders, and employees.
•The Operations Manager will provide the leadership and direction necessary to sustain the Company's growth and to complete his/her agenda with his/her own management style within the framework of the Company’s Mission Statement.
•The Operations Manager will also serve as the Project Manager of Mountain Side Plumbing.
Key Responsibilities
•Team Management: Supervising and mentoring a team of plumbers, including scheduling, training, and performance management
•Project Management: Overseeing plumbing projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction
•Budget Management: Developing and managing budgets for plumbing operations, including labor, materials, and equipment.
•Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, plumbing codes, and other relevant standards.
•Customer Relations: Addressing customer issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
•Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
•Resource Management: Managing and allocating resources, including materials, tools, and equipment.
•Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development of strategic plans for the plumbing department.
•Reporting and Analysis: Preparing reports and project performance, budget adherence, and other key metrics.

EDUCATION*
Required: High School Diploma.
Preferred: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering from an accredited college or university.
LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATIONS*
REQUIRED: Utah State Journeyman Plumber’s License.
REQUIRED: Valid State of Utah Driver’s License.
Experience
•Required: Ten to fifteen years management in plumbing or related industry.
•Preferred: Above experience plus five or more years management experience with direct responsibility for income line (profit and loss).
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
•Must have a proven track record of the ability to effectively manage personnel to achieve financial and operating objectives within specific time constraints.
•Must have sufficient knowledge to read and interpret financial information relating to the company, with the ability to effectively use that information for management purposes.
•Must possess sufficient knowledge to develop, implement, and monitor the Annual Financial and Operating Forecast Plan and applicable Strategic Business Plans/Goals.
•Must have excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand and act upon the information from operational and financial reports.
•Must have the skill to communicate and work with all of the types of personnel working for the company.
•Must have the ability to delegate responsibility and authority, yet manage and direct the overall company.
•Must have the ability to prioritize, and ensure completion of, multiple tasks.
•Must have the ability to make sound decisions and provide leadership and management direction.
•Must have excellent knowledge of the Company’s industry and trends impacting its business.
•Must have the ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
