Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team of employees to achieve operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties
•Manage daily operations of the plant, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining quality standards.
•Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
•Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
•Monitor production metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
•Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
•Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain to optimize operations.
•Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
•Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
•Prepare reports on production performance, safety incidents, and other key metrics for upper management.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field is preferred.
•Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment; previous management experience is highly desirable.
•Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
•Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
•Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics; experience with manufacturing software is a plus.
•Strong knowledge of aluminum extrusion and fabrication, or previous experience required.
•The ability to contribute to or manage Facilities & Maintenance operations, including the Tool Crib, ensuring adequate tooling, equipment, and effective Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices, is a plus.
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
•Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environments.
