Plant Mechanic

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years experience in an industrial mechanic position.

Average computer skills, including word processing.

Familiarity with MS Windows, MS Office Suite, including MS Word and Excel.

Familiarity with PMC2000 or other preventive maintenance software program.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

College education desired.

First Aid/CPR training desired.

Valid driver’s license required.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES

Acquire and maintain strong familiarity with all safety and environmental procedures, programs and policies. Fulfill duties as specified therein.

Provide feedback to plant management on safety and environmental procedures, programs and polices which will assist in future revisions and increase their effectiveness.

Assist in coordinating day-to-day maintenance at the Hardin Generating Station.

Keep focused on plant personnel & equipment safety.

Keep plant grounds clean, neat and organized.

Assist/conduct training for new and existing staff.

Utilize the plant maintenance program, including:

Work order tracking

Regular meetings with the crew

QC/QA work in progress

Use inventory functions to maximize productive time

PMC work orders

Machine alignment

Work with managers to schedule work and help on planning major outages.

Be familiar with all aspects of plant operations and maintenance.

Support O&M staff with their day-to-day work.

Lead by example by conducting yourself in a professional manner.

Other duties as may be assigned.

May be required to work on a rotating shift

May be required to cross-train and gain proficiency /qualify in additional power plant roles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
