The Plant Manager has direct responsibility for managing the sand plant. This includes safety, quality, people, environment, operations, inventory management and community relations.
Safety: Ensures that the site meets or exceeds all local, state and federal guidelines specific to safety. Pursues a culture of safety with an objective of “zero” injuries or incidents. Actively engages with the workforce to ensure a safe workplace and identify opportunities for improvement.
Environment: Ensures regulations are consistently met or exceeded by following local, state & federal guidelines.
Operations & People Management: Provides direct oversight in the extraction, processing, stockpiling, and load out of customers. Supervises and manages the workforce. Responsible for hiring, onboarding/training and performance management.
Inventory Management: Closely manages inventory needs at site through frequent coordination with Sales.
Performance Management: Promotes a culture of high performance, reward and recognition. Effectively measures efficiency and continuously improves the operations.
Planning: Develops operational and capital plans for the plant to continuously improve productivity and maintain low costs. Prepares budgets and forecasts. Works closely with sales to optimize production, sales and inventory levels.
Plant Housekeeping: Maintains a high standard for plant image and housekeeping. Plant image includes the appearance & cleanliness of the entire site.
Community Relations: Works proactively with the local community to ensure that Blue Water Industries is a valued member of the community.
Supporting our customers: Ensure we are meeting customer expectations around quality, consistency and quantity of material.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
Must have a minimum of three years of management experience running sand or aggregate plants.
