Piping Designer

Location:

Katy, Texas and Metairie, Louisiana

Job Description:

The Piping Designer creates and establishes simple designs consistent with good practices, client requirements and conformance to Codes & Standards. Designers apply standard drafting techniques to generate and interpret drawings in support of assigned projects to ensure that all established Company and client design standards and practices are followed.

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

• Piping Designer with Plant3D experience.

• Generates design and detail drawings including orthographic, plans/sections, and isometrics to support Discipline Leads.

• Generates P&ID documentation

• Manages and maintains the Project Documentation

• Assists in developing design and detailed drawings including 3D models, piping plans/isometrics..

• Interacts with other departments and disciplines to obtain pertinent information.

• Must have the ability to work with Sr. Designers and grow within the organization.

Qualifications:

• High School or GED equivalent with preference for completion of an associate degree

• Five (5) + years design/drafting experience preferred.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word, Excel and CAD software.
