Job Summary:
A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced
Senior Offshore Pipeline Engineer
to lead the design, analysis, and execution of offshore pipeline systems. This role will support full project lifecycle activities—from front-end design through installation, commissioning, and start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop offshore pipeline designs, alignment sheets, and installation specifications.
•Perform pipeline installation and integrity analysis using industry-standard software.
•Prepare and review Scopes of Work (SOW) for pipe supply (including coatings), installation, and intervention activities.
•Review and verify contractor analyses and technical documentation for pipeline installation and commissioning.
•Prepare specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, and perform bid evaluations.
•Review vendor drawings and technical documentation for compliance and quality.
•Provide site engineering support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning phases.
•Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and ensure effective interface management.
•Guide junior engineers and review their deliverables for technical accuracy.
•Facilitate internal workshops and contribute to training initiatives related to offshore pipeline systems.
•Ensure all engineering work complies with industry codes (DNV, API, ISO), project-specific standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (or international equivalent).
•10+ years of relevant offshore pipeline engineering experience.
•Offshore pipeline design, routing, and installation.
•DNV pipeline codes (e.g., DNV-ST-F101) and subsea construction methods.
•Analysis software such as OrcaFlex, Abaqus, Caesar II.
•Shore crossings (both trenchless and conventional).
•Offshore installation support and vessel operations.
•Strong technical writing, communication, and coordination skills.
•Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT preferred.
Preferred Experience:
•Field experience aboard offshore installation vessels.
•Strong understanding of lifecycle interface management and regulatory permitting.
•Ability to manage design consultants and independently verify third-party work.
