The Pipeline Technician will work under the Pipeline Operations Engineer. The Pipeline Technician will be responsible for performing duties related to general pipeline construction, operation, and maintenance of an oil and gas pipeline system.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential functions are identified in bold and italicized text below.)
Must work safely at all times.* Perform accurate timekeeping in HR management system and submit on time per payroll deadlines.* Work independently to repair and maintain all pipelines as needed and perform work incidental to the daily operations and maintenance of all pipelines under the direction of the Pipeline Operations Engineer.* Calibrate flow meters.* Troubleshoot, test, maintain and repair pipeline equipment, which may include valves, operators and filtration systems.* Drive product through the pipeline.* Monitor connection points.* Verify accuracy of flow meters.* Perform all duties associated with maintaining line integrity and safe operations.* Perform valve inspections and associated documentation to ensure proper operation.* Ensure company safety standards are always reached.* Must attend all safety meetings and trainings.* Regular attendance at the worksite is required.*
Up to 25% travel required. Requires the ability to travel to field locations where environment may vary significantly.
