We’re currently seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Pipeline Coater / Laborer to join our pipeline construction team.
This position involves supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines and related facilities, with a strong focus on pipeline coating application. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and coating, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Assist in pipeline installation and repair, including trenching, pipefitting, backfilling, and applying protective coatings
- Prepare surfaces for coating through grinding, sandblasting, or other surface prep techniques
- Apply coatings to ensure corrosion resistance and compliance with project specifications
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools (grinders, wrenches, pipe cutters, etc.)
- Load and unload materials and equipment on job sites
- Follow all company and customer safety procedures and wear proper PPE (hard hat, gloves, metatarsal boots, etc.)
- Keep work areas clean and compliant with safety and environmental standards
- Work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or project manager
- Prior experience in pipeline construction or industrial labor (preferred)
- Experience with protective coating application and inspection (preferred)
- Familiarity with coating standards (e.g., NACE, SSPC) is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to work overtime and travel to remote job sites when needed
- Safety certifications (OSHA 10/30, PEC Safeland, etc.) are a plus
- Experience operating heavy equipment is also a plus
- Outdoor work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, crouching, and digging
- Work may require travel to remote job sites and overnight stays
- Extended hours and weekend work may be required to meet project schedules
- Regularly lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
- Stand, kneel, walk, and climb for extended periods
- Work in confined spaces or at varying heights as needed
- Perform repetitive physical labor in field environments
