The
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Boilermaker/Pipefitter), Rodeo Renewable Energy Complexis primarily responsible for maintenance of fixed equipment in the refinery including blinding, mechanical repair, replacement, fabrication, alteration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance; fixed equipment assets including piping systems, valves, heat exchangers, filters, boilers, furnaces, towers, reactors, pressure vessels, tanks, structural systems, etc. This position utilizes various hand and power tools, specialty tools, rigging equipment, mobile equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE). This position is on a 5/8 work schedule.

The majority of work is performed outdoors in an industrial environment. The employee must possess the fitness and ability to perform the tasks safely and responsibly under normal supervision. The tasks listed below are typical, but do not necessarily limit assignments.
Responsibilities May Include
+ Work overtime (including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts) + Be on call and respond to after hour callouts due to business necessity + Lift up to 50 pounds + Work in enclosed spaces such as tanks and silos + Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines + Climb up to 200 feet in height; work at elevated heights + Work around chemicals, including acids and bases + Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (such as steel-toed shoes, ear/eye protection) + Maintain facial hair daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (clean shaven); employee should have experience working while in supplied air in confined spaces + Work outside in inclement weather conditions + Read, follow, and understand (in English) schematics, drawings, Material reqs and P&ID's + Qualify and join the refinery hazmat team and attend quarterly training + Remove basic insulation + Respond to unit upsets, weather events, and/or process leaks in emergency conditions
The Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex
is a state-of-the-art facilityprocessing renewable feedstocks (waste oils, fats, greases, and vegetable oils) to produce vital transportation fuels, including renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuels for California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. The Rodeo facility has been providing energy and improving lives since 1896. The conversion from crude oil to renewable feedstocks was completed in early 2024, enabling the production of lower carbon-intensity transportation fuels. Compensation
The base pay range for this position is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Currently, this range is $35.83/hour to $55.13/hour (fully qualified journeyman) based upon qualifications. All rates are scheduled to increase by 3.5% in February 2025. This position has a 7.5% Variable Cash Incentive Program target, 8% 401k match, and Cash Balance Account pension.
