Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance the safety of all employees and contractors, as well as protect company assets. The Physical Security Operations Manager will oversee a team focused on security system project management and field operations. This manager serves as the primary liaison with the contract guard force company and the vendors responsible for installing and maintaining security-related technology.
The Physical Security Operations Manager will direct the activities of the Regional Security Coordinators to ensure that workplace aggression issues are managed appropriately, investigations are completed thoroughly, vulnerability assessments are documented correctly, and compliance obligations are met.
Additionally, this manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to procurement practices and for reviewing all financial obligations for accuracy and timely payment. This position oversees the overall department budget, project installations, procurement, and all field operations related to Physical Security.
Education: Bachelor's degree or Associate degree combined with a minimum of 2 years of applicable business/technical experience in Security (Cyber and/or Physical), Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field OR a HS diploma/GED combined with a minimum of 4 years of applicable business/technical experience preferably in Security (Cyber and/or Physical), Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: 10 or more years of Security (Physical and/or Cyber), business administration, computer science, or other technical experience, demonstrating steady progression in responsibilities including 4 or more years of direct supervision experience preferred (in addition to any experience identified above).
The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
