Part-time Customer Service Billing Specialist (In-Office | 20 Hours/Week)

Position Overview

JW Water Holdings, LLC supports water and wastewater utility companies across our service areas by providing accurate, timely, and professional customer account services. We are seeking a Part-Time Customer Service Representative to support our billing operations with a focus on payment processing, data entry, utility service account setup and discontinuation, and utility collections.

This is a 20-hour per week, in-office position with flexibility in how the hours are distributed, but the selected schedule must remain consistent and set each week.

The ideal candidate will bring utility billing and collections, HOA, payment processing, or high-volume customer service experience and a strong attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities

- Process customer payments (ACH, check, and electronic payments) with speed and accuracy

- Perform data entry related to utility service start, stop, and account maintenance

- Assist with customer billing records and payment application

- Engage in collection activities related to receivables recovery through the use of liens (county/state), customer outreach via phone, email or letter correspondence.

- Support account setup, changes, and service discontinuations

- Review account activity for accuracy and completeness

- Assist full-time CSRs with overflow administrative, billing-related tasks and overflow call volume as needed

- Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy in customer records

- Perform additional clerical and support duties as assigned

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience in utility billing, utility services, HOA management, payment processing, or high-volume customer service REQUIRED

- Strong data entry and administrative accuracy

- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required

- Experience with CRM system UB4 or other utility billing systems is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Ability to manage repetitive tasks with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment

- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Schedule & Work Environment

- Part-Time: 20 hours per week

- In-office position

- Schedule offers flexibility, but must be consistent and set weekly
