Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and industrial painting, along with a strong understanding of various construction techniques. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and performing general labor tasks as needed. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
Responsibilities
•
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary.
•
Apply paint, stain, or other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
•
Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
•
Perform stucco and masonry work as needed to enhance the durability of painted surfaces.
•
Utilize basic math skills to calculate measurements for materials and project layouts.
•
Operate hand tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to painting and labor.
•
Assist with trim carpentry projects, ensuring precise cuts and installations.
•
Engage in industrial painting projects that require specialized techniques and equipment.
•
Restore surfaces by repairing damage or applying protective coatings as required.
Requirements
•
Proven experience in residential painting; industrial painting experience is a plus.
•
Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately.
•
Familiarity with stucco application and masonry techniques preferred.
•
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.
•
Proficient in the use of hand tools relevant to painting and construction tasks.
•
Experience with trim carpentry is advantageous but not mandatory.
•
Willingness to learn new skills, including welding or restoration techniques if not already possessed.
•
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
