PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Perform spray painting tasks including preparatory work, undercoating, application of preservatives, and lubricants.
•Clean and maintain paint shop equipment such as air lines, fluid lines, paint guns, and respirators.
•Maintain general knowledge of the paint system and operation of the paint booth.
•Accurately maintain the paint log.
•Document actions by completing work order routings.
•Change filters and perform routine maintenance on the paint booth.
•Understands color schemes and proper use of color chart.
•Maintains proper inventory levels of, properly safely labeled and stores, and requisition all materials and supplies required to operate work center efficiently.
•Ensure coatings are applied in accordance with NOV and customer specifications.
•Possess a strong understanding of the production team’s product line.
•Work as a team player with others in a demanding fast-paced environment to meet frequently changing production.
•Train and assist junior-level painters as needed.
•Report problems to responsible management levels.
•Follow all safety procedures related to paint gun and respirator use.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow all safe work practices.
•Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•A minimum of 3 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
•Familiarity with shipping documentation, including pick lists and paperwork for finished products.
•Strong working knowledge of and ability to operate a wrapping machine.
•Forklift and overhead crane certification is a plus.
•Basic computer literacy required.
•Must be respirator certified.

•Must be able to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds.
•Routine bending is required.
•Work may be performed in areas where harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing chemicals).
•Participation in medical surveillance programs may be required per HSE guidelines.
•Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) continuously throughout the shift, including gloves, protective clothing, safety glasses or goggles, face mask or respirator, ear plugs or muffs, and safety shoes.
