This position is an outside technical sates role for the sale of fluid handling equipment, including pumps, meters, vacuum systems, and complete engineered process solutions used in industry throughout the southeastern US. This position involves initiating contact with potential and existing customers in a specified territory and/or market segment.

Customer Interaction: Engage with end-users and firms, provide process solutions, conduct training sessions.
Relationship Building: Establish trust with customers, grow territory by developing new accounts.
Sates Process: Identify opportunities, review specifications, communicate with the inside technical sales team, prepare technical proposals, deliver presentations, and close sales.
Technical Support: Assist customers with product operation and maintenance.
Professional Involvement: Participate in professional organizations such as ASME and AVEM, attend technical training sessions, and trade shows.
Data Management: Monitor sales data, maintain CRM database, contribute to sales forecasting.
Time Management & Multitasking Skills: These skills are critical to this position. The candidate must be able to identify critical decision-makers within customer organizations, recognize the customer's needs beyond the stated or obvious, and work professionally with individuals from varying backgrounds, experience, and educational levels.
Technical Sales: The candidate must have strong motivation towards technical sales. The candidate will be responsible for developing new accounts as well as growing existing business within a territory that includes western NC & SC. This is a full-time position and will require traveling to customer facilities. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is up to 75% of the time and may require overnight stays. The candidate must possess a valid state driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Education & Experience: Minimum AS degree in e technical field, engineering, or business. A BS is preferred. 3+ years in sales, preferably in a related industry, with a proven track record. Advanced technical sales training is a plus.
