Essential Job Functions:
•Proactively identify, target, and secure new customers and projects aligned with ESP’s core capabilities in specialty springs and metal components.
•Drive revenue growth through persistent outreach, relationship-building, and opportunity qualification.
•Develop deep understanding of ESP’s manufacturing capabilities to effectively position and sell solutions to prospects.
•Utilize CRM tools (preferably HubSpot) to track pipeline activity, manage leads, and forecast sales.
•Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, sales support, inside sales, and operations) to align customer needs with production capabilities and timelines.
•Evaluate customer projects for profitability and feasibility, applying understanding of costing, margins, and job shop limitations.
•Conduct regular travel to meet with prospects and customers — this is a road-warrior role with significant face-to-face selling.
•Represent the company with professionalism and technical credibility across a range of industrial markets.
•Maintain awareness of market trends and competitors to continuously refine sales strategy.
Education and Experience:
•2–5 years of experience in outside sales with a manufacturer or industrial distributor — preferably with metal-based products or components.
•Proven track record of developing new business and closing complex sales within industrial environments.
•Exposure to oil & gas markets strongly preferred, but not required.
•CRM proficiency required; HubSpot experience a plus.
•Strong understanding of costing, pricing, and profitability considerations.
•Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
•Self-motivated and disciplined with a hunter mentality.
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or a related field preferred.
