Job Summary

The remote-control room Operator will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the LM6000 gas turbine power plant from the remote-control room. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant, responding to alarms and emergencies, and maintaining communication with field personnel.

Responsibilities

- Monitor and Control the operations of the LM6000 gas turbine and auxiliary systems from the control room.

- Respond promptly to alarms, malfunctions, and other anomalies by assessing the situation and implementing corrective actions.

- Maintain accurate logs of operational activities, incidents, and maintenance activities.

- Communicate effectively with field operators, maintenance personnel, and management to coordinate activities and resolve operational issues.

- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues related to the gas turbine and other plant systems.

- Participate in the start-up and shut-down procedures of the gas turbine and associated systems in accordance with plant protocols.

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations company policies, promoting a culture of safety within the control room and the plant.

- Provide training and support to new operators and assist in the development of operational procedures.

Qualifications

- High-school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.

- Previous experience in power plant operations, particularly with gas turbines (LM6000 experience highly desirable).

- Strong understanding of power plant systems, electrical and mechanical principles.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

- Proficient in the use of computer-based control systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 84 per week
