Operator, Grinding

About Your New Role

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Operations, the Operator, Grinding, will run the grinding circuit from the fine ore bin to the Thickener. Your primary function is to reduce dry ore to a fine slurry, suitable for leaching.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Perform daily inspections of Grinding circuit.

- Ensure that the Grinding circuit is operating within specified limits.

- Add reagents and grinding media to circuit in required quantities.

- Perform routine inspections to equipment on circuit and report deficiencies to supervisor and maintenance department.

- Assist maintenance department with circuit repairs as necessary.

- Prepare daily shift reports on standard forms, record equipment failure, and record scale and meter values.

- Maintain a log of daily shift events.

- Perform minor maintenance to circuit.

- Cover absences booked by Solutions Operators.

- Maintain a clean and safe work area.

- Ensure all work is done in safe and efficient manner.

- Operate small, motorized equipment.

Your Knowledge And Skills

- Demonstrate good communication skills.

- Positive and proactive attitude towards safety.

Your Education And Experience

The successful candidate will have:

- You will have completed Grade 12 or equivalent.

- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in mining industry.

About Our Working Conditions

This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
