About This Job

The Operator Assistant II under strict supervision, learns basic oil well operations including but not limited to drilling fluids and solids control operations.

•

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

•

Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.

•

Shift Details: 13-hour shift | 3x3 rotation | Day/Night shift

Responsibilities:

•

Assist in the rigging-up and rigging-down of service equipment, and in the operation of some or all of the following equipment: shale shakers and screen changes, centrifuges, cuttings handling and slurrification systems, and vacuum and pressure washing systems.

•

This position promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process, promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations, and ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

•

High school diploma or GED is required.

•

Minimum of three months of relevant experience.

•

Valid driver's license is required.

•

Ability to effectively communicate with others, perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and basic reading comprehension and writing skills.

•

Ability to utilize basic hand tools to perform tasks as directed.

•

Ability to follow instructions accurately to ensure efficient workflow.

•

Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to basic hygiene standards in the work area.

•

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

•

Ability to support various mechanical tasks and operations.

•

Basic computer skills are preferred.

•

Completion of specific Baroid training is preferred.
