O&M Field Technician

Field Technician (O&M)

Aspen Power is seeking a skilled Field Technician to support operations and maintenance activities for utility-scale solar sites in Pittsburg, PA. We welcome candidates with prior experience in solar PV systems as well as those with strong backgrounds in electrical, telecom, or industrial maintenance who are eager to expand into the solar energy field.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise and a commitment to safety, reliability, and high-quality work. Comprehensive training on photovoltaic (PV) systems and company-specific safety protocols will be provided.

Responsibilities:

· Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems

· Diagnose and repair electrical components (up to 480V AC)

· Work on mechanical trackers, SCADA systems, and data communications

· Use monitoring platforms to detect issues and optimize performance

· Ensure safe operations and detailed documentation across sites

Qualifications:

· 2+ years in electrical, telecom, or industrial systems

· Experience with 3-phase power, low-voltage wiring, and diagnostics

· Valid driver’s license

· Experience with SMA inverters, SCADA, or fiber optics

· OSHA 10/30 or NFPA 70E (or willing to obtain)

· Passion for renewable energy and working outdoors

Compensation

· Base salary: $45-$50/hour

This is a full-time role based in Pittsburg, PA metro area with travel to Mercer County to support service needs at additional regional locations.
