As a Project Manager, Multi-Residential, Western Canada, you will play a key role in overseeing project execution, ensuring timely delivery, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to drive successful outcomes.

Our core business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (may vary depending on the role).


General Description:

Under the general direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Project Manager, Multi-Residential will be responsible for executing scope of work as per contractual requirements, identifying potential opportunities for customer improvements, offering added-value services or products and fostering strong professional relationships with clients, property management, and building staff to ensure exceptional customer service for multi-residential projects.


Characteristics, Features, Requirements:

The Project Manager, Multi-Residential will be expected to thoroughly understand and apply the CARMA Quality Manual, CARMA Health and Safety Manual, the Field Orientation Safety and Technical Manual and the CARMA Installation Manual. They will also clearly demonstrate their ability to work independently and perform all the project management requirements found with each of the primary work responsibilities described below – Project Manager, Multi-Residential. Critical to these responsibilities, is the requirement to complete assigned tasks successfully and on-time.


Reporting:

This role reports directly to the National Manager, Multi-Residential who will be the training mentor and will monitor and review performance goals and objectives and weekly work schedules. The Project Manager, Multi-Residential is required to report as follows, but not limited to:

Submit weekly activity & expense reports by 9:00 am Monday each week for the prior week including service work order reports to the Business Operations Support team.


Important and Essential Duties:

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:


Project Manager, Multi-Residential Responsibilities

Oversee and direct projects from initiation to completion;
Design and configure project systems, handle equipment orders, and prepare as-built documentation;
Schedule equipment deliveries, manage inventory and handle return material authorizations (RMA);
Attend site kickoff meeting and additional coordination meetings, as needed;
Work closely with third-party contractors on the commissioning of systems across the British Columbia and Alberta multi-residential portfolio;
Communicate with installing contractors regarding installation requirements, equipment deliveries and deficiency resolutions;
Offer sales support as required;
Collaborate with customers and stakeholders (electrical contractors, mechanical contractors, engineers) to ensure project feasibility and success;
Provide regular progress updates to customers, external stakeholders (electrical contractors, mechanical contractors, engineers,), and internal teams (Customer Service, Billing, Dev Ops, Field);
Oversee and streamline the coordination and timely delivery of all equipment and materials;
Review project progress with supervisor on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis with supervisor;
Plan proactively to mitigate problems and resolve emerging issues;
Ensure timely submission of project closeout documentation.


Experience/Knowledge/Ability

Previous experience with submetering systems, including system design for multi-residential or commercial properties;
Strong understanding of electrical power theory;
Proficiency with AutoCAD;
Ability to work independently and meet all of the technical requirements outlined within each of the primary work responsibilities described in the “Important and Essential Duties” section, of this document;
Familiarity with project management methodologies;
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal);
Problem solving ability and attention to detail;
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
Ability to read electrical, mechanical and single line blueprints, engineering drawings and plan sets.


Qualifications

Post-secondary education or relevant electrical trade certification;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
Valid G-class driver’s licence, and proof of insurance (where applicable).


Working Conditions

Work settings such as electrical rooms, construction sites and office buildings;
The role may involve a demanding workload with tight deadlines;
Travel within Ontario and out of province;
Occasional work outside of regular office hours will be required as part of your regular duties;
Ability to work safely on ladders and automated lift devices (training provided);
Appropriate safety gear will be provided and must be worn as required;
