We are seeking a results-driven Strategic Sourcing Leader to develop and execute a world-class supply chain for GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear (GVH). This role will be instrumental in building and scaling a supplier ecosystem that meets the rigorous requirements of the nuclear industry while enabling innovation, cost-effectiveness, and rapid deployment.
In this role, you will lead the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear (GVH) Sourcing team. You will partner across the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and Installed Base (Fuel and Services) businesses to implement, maintain and elevate the Nuclear sourcing strategy, including Commodity Management, Fulfillment Execution, Materials Management and Logistics. In close partnership with Advanced Nuclear leadership, you will be responsible for defining and driving the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) new plant sourcing strategy and supplier development while optimizing total product cost, purchased component schedules, and business risk.
Roles and Responsibilities
•SMR Growth Strategy: Partner with Projects, Engineering, Finance, and Quality teams to develop an SMR capacity growth strategy for 2025-2028. Support SMR NPI product launches from design through first unit delivery, leading RFQ, negotiations and supplier award to meet targets and program objectives.
•Supplier Development / Management: Leader of team responsible for supplier selection, development, contract negotiation and performance, and overall supplier management. Responsible for the entire contract life cycle from request for proposal to supplier exit, pay terms, deflation, fulfillment, claims/recovery.
•Responsible for developing and executing the GVH sourcing strategy and fulfillment, including alignment to Nuclear business objectives.
•Lead a team of 65 Commodity, Fulfillment, Materials and Logistics professionals to drive overall supplier performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost for a supply base representing ~$500M in annual spend today, and growing to ~$1B in ‘27.
•Partnership Building: Establish long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers, consortium partners, regulators and customers to ensure continuity, innovation, and competitiveness.
•Materials Management: Drive direct material productivity through partnership with cross-functional stakeholders and Global Commodity Leaders, utilizing supplier negotiations, competitive bidding, strategic partnerships, engineering design changes, supplier process improvements, country optimization, and actions to increase the overall competitive landscape.
•Technology Scouting: Monitor emerging manufacturing capabilities and supply chain technologies to enhance competitiveness and resilience.
•Partner with the GVH Supplier Quality team to drive continuous improvement in the areas of QMS compliance, supplier defects/process capability, SDR reduction, and COPQ.
•Logistics: Lead team responsible for Nuclear business Customs/Logistics. Ensure compliance with regulators as it pertains to Nuclear Logistics (DOC, NRC, DOT, CBP, etc.). Responsible for proper reporting or licensing to authorities as required through regulatory compliance for shipment activities (Importing, Exporting, etc.)
•Implement continuous improvement activities (lean, standard work, daily management, problem solving, waste elimination) in all areas of responsibility.
•Build a team culture that focuses on safety and quality and aligning with the GE Vernova Way, ensuring effective cross-functional communication and engagement with team members to ensure understanding and alignment with operational goals.
Qualifications / Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sourcing, Sales, Commercial Operations and/or Supply Chain
•Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience

•Demonstrated ability to shape and drive culture, set strategic vision and lead team to achieve high levels of performance
•Knowledge of the disciplines of sourcing management such as supplier selection, qualification, development, contract negotiation, supplier performance management, inventory, supplier quality, customs and business logistics.
•Cross-functional experience in Engineering, Projects, Manufacturing, or Commercial/Sales.
•Demonstrated experience standing up supply chains for first-of-a-kind (FOAK) or complex, capital-intensive projects. Proven ability to build supplier networks from the ground up, including qualification and auditing.
•Knowledge of Nuclear industry or other highly regulated industry. Knowledge of nuclear quality systems (ASME, NRC, DOE, ISO, etc.) and regulatory landscapes.
•Prior experience sourcing for advanced nuclear technologies, SMRs, or related clean energy systems
•Exposure to public-private partnerships or government-funded energy programs

The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $350,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s geographic location, experience, education, skill set, and work location. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation and equity. Benefits include health and additional benefits. This posting is expected to expire on July 25, 2025.
