Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Non-Profit Program Manager to lead our initiatives aimed at making a positive impact in the community. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of program management methodologies, and a passion for non-profit work. This role requires expertise in change management, program development, and team management to ensure successful project implementation and alignment with our organizational goals.
- Develop and manage community programs (e.g., Solar for Seniors, Voice of Power, etc.)
- Ensure alignment with your mission and funding goals
- Monitor KPIs and success metrics for each initiative
- Build timelines and track deliverables for grant-funded projects
- Research grants that match your nonprofit’s mission (federal, foundation, local)
- Draft or coordinate grant applications, budgets, and required documents
- Manage grant calendars and meet all deadlines
- Track and report on grant deliverables to funders
- Ensure compliance with all grant terms (reporting, budget use, etc.)
- Develop partnerships with schools, local governments, housing authorities, etc.
- Engage with potential fiscal sponsors, vendors, or collaborators
- Represent your nonprofit at local events or energy/sustainability meetings*Administrative & Back-End Tasks4. Operations & Team Oversight
- Manage volunteers, outreach reps, interns, or part-time workers
- Build and document workflows using tools like Monday.com or Google Workspace
- Help set up internal systems for HR, payroll (if needed), or CRM for donors
- Write press releases, blog posts, and social posts about your nonprofit's work
- Create email newsletters for donors and supporters
- Help run nonprofit’s social media and fundraising campaigns
- Assist with donor outreach, gift acknowledgment, and donation tracking
- Coordinate crowdfunding or annual fund drives
- Manage donor database and help build recurring revenue- Ensure good standing with IRS, Secretary of State, GATA, SAM.gov, etc.
- Help with fiscal sponsor communications
- Keep board documents, grant files, EIN letters, and policies organized* Bonus: If They Have Grant Writing Skills
- Tailor applications to funders
- Provide compelling narratives and budgets
- Track outcomes and write post-grant reports
