Guzman Energy
is seeking a proactive and solutions-driven Network Administrator to support the IT infrastructure and user experience of our Denver office. This individual will play a key role in maintaining a secure and reliable computing environment, providing end-user support, and ensuring the availability of critical systems and network services. The role involves hands-on support of PCs, Macs, servers, network devices, conference room technologies, and access control systems. It also includes contributing to IT security through vulnerability scanning and device lifecycle management. Flexibility for after-hours support is required. This role reports to the Network Manager.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, has strong troubleshooting skills, and is motivated to provide high-quality technical support and IT services across the organization.
Base Compensation:
base salary ranging from $85,000 - $95,000 per year and an annual targeted performance bonus.
- Respond to and resolve IT support requests across in-person, phone, email, and Slack channels
- Onboard and offboard users, including account creation, permissions, and access
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware for end-user devices
- Maintain and support Windows and macOS environments
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network and server infrastructure
- Manage Zoom conference room setups and resolve issues
- Coordinate with VOIP vendor to identify and resolve communication issues
- Perform vulnerability scans and remediation activities to maintain IT security
- Install, modify, and maintain hardware for end users
- Sanitize and decommission of retired company devices
- Provision and install certificates for two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Maintain email blacklists and whitelists for spam filtering and security
- Support access control systems, including door entry and surveillance technologies
- Collaborate with other IT and business teams to ensure consistent and secure operations
- Support occasional after-hours work to minimize business disruptions during updates or maintenance
- Assist with special IT projects and implementations as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of experience in a Windows Active Directory environment - 4+ years of experience in network administration- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications preferred• Ability to maintain consistent attendance and meet scheduling requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness
• Proficiency with computers and standard IT tools
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 20–50 lbs.

- Cross-Platform Expertise:
Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments, including configuration management, OS patching, and cross-compatibility troubleshooting.
- IT Security & Compliance Awareness:
Working knowledge of endpoint security tools, vulnerability scanning, and remediation practices. Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST or CIS is a plus.
- Network Infrastructure Knowledge:
Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, switches, routers, VLANs, and wireless access points. Experience with Cisco Meraki or similar platforms preferred.
- Collaboration Tools Support:
Hands-on experience managing unified communications systems including Zoom, Slack, and VOIP platforms.
- Scripting & Automation:
Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for task automation, user provisioning, or system monitoring.
- Asset Management & Lifecycle Planning:
Experience with hardware asset tracking, procurement, and lifecycle planning, including inventory and decommissioning best practices.
- Adaptability & Service Orientation:
Proven ability to handle changing priorities, respond to urgent technical issues, and maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.
