The NDE Technician is responsible for performing nondestructive testing techniques and methods on products and materials for flaws and imperfections, documenting, and making recommendations for repairs on these products and materials.
- Execute nondestructive testing using the procedures and methods to determine the maximum quality of the product
- Inspect products/materials for defects, corrosion, or detrimental conditions in accordance with specific criteria
- Organize and generate reports pertaining to inspection and evaluation
- Prepare reports on all testing and evaluations completed
- Ensure the equipment used for testing is all functioning to its maximum ability and according to safety regulations
- Recommend any and all needed repairs to equipment
- Prioritize job orders in terms of cost and effectiveness
- High school diploma or equivalent
- PT & MT certifications required
- UT certification is a plus
- Minimum of 2-5 years’ NDT experience required
- PMI experience is a plus
- Documentation skills are a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus
Employees will be required to sit, stand, walk, kneel and crouch. Employees will also use their hands and arms and view objects closely. Employees may be required to lift and/or move anywhere from 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally will help lift 50 pounds. Employees may work in high noise levels and near exposed fumes or particles.
