Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tradesman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set and be proficient in various trades, ensuring high-quality workmanship across multiple projects. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Carpentry and Joinery
•Perform framing, formwork, and structural work.
•Install trim, moldings, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
•Repair and maintain wooden structures such as walls, floors, and fixtures.
Drywall and Finishing
•Install, tape, and finish drywall with precision.
•Apply paint, plaster, and other finishing techniques to ensure a smooth and polished surface.
•Handle basic electrical work such as installing fixtures, switches, and outlets.
General Construction Tasks
•Assist with demolition, excavation, and site preparation.
•Mix, pour, and finish concrete as needed.
•Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Maintenance and Repairs
•Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
•Troubleshoot and repair structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Safety and Compliance
•Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and building regulations.
•Follow company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall, and other construction-related work.
Technical Knowledge
•Proficient in using hand and power tools.
•Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
Certifications (Preferred)
•OSHA 10/30 certification.
•Relevant trade certifications (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical) are a plus.
Problem-Solving Skills
•Ability to assess and troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
Physical Stamina
•Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
Communication and Teamwork
•Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Education
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Vocational training or apprenticeship in a relevant trade preferred.
