Motor Shop Administrator

Job Summary: CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Motor Shop Administrator at our office in Palmetto, FL. The position includes assisting the Motor Shop Manager with daily tasks and receiving incoming shipments

Physical Demands:

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

- Must be able to regularly move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds

Work Environment:

- Temperature-controlled office and shop.

Reporting Relationships:

- The Motor Shop Administrator reports to the Motor Shop Manager

Hours

- Monday - Friday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)

Pay Frequency

- Weekly

- Non-Exempt

Compensation:

$20 - $22 hourly

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the accuracy of incoming shipments, place and label parts in the appropriate areas, and record the shipment in the computer.

- Process material returns as needed.

- Assist the Motor Shop Manager with daily tasks, including the intake of equipment brought in for repairs, and processing and filing documentation.

- Keeps the facility clean and orderly.

- Organizes and tracks job locations in the warehouse.

- Uses a forklift and pallet trucks to load and unload as needed.

- Cleans and maintains safety equipment, instruments, and materials.

- Regular in-person attendance is required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Basic computer and administrative skills.

- At least one (1) year of experience in a shop environment or similar role.

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

- Willing to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Forklift operating experience/certification.
