Mold Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated Mold Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of mold design, maintenance, and process improvement within the manufacturing sector. Location: Sealy, TX

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mold Design and Improvement:

· Work with the master engineer/Mold Department Manager to assist in developing and optimizing mold structures and processes to enhance production efficiency.

· Support continuous improvements to mold design and manufacturing techniques.

2. Maintenance and Repair:

· Participate in regular maintenance of molds to ensure smooth production operations.

· Assist in promptly repairing and troubleshooting faulty molds to minimize downtime.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

· Systematically record mold usage and maintenance activities.

· Prepare detailed reports on mold performance and issues for department manager.

4. Team Training and Support:

· Participate in training sessions on mold maintenance and operational procedures.

· Provide support to the team to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

· Experience in mold fabrication, industrial, or a similar industry.

· Basic knowledge of mold design, maintenance, and repair techniques.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

· Basic proficiency in documenting processes and preparing reports.

· Preferred bilingual capabilities and experience working in a multicultural environment.

Education:

· A bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Work Experience:

· 1-2 years of experience or relevant internships in mold manufacturing and maintenance.

Skills:

· Basic proficiency in using mold design and simulation software.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Effective communication skills.

Pay: $75,500.00 - $78,500.00 per year
