Responsible for running asbestos projects by overseeing workers on job site
Participate with the training of newly hired employees: Following training guidelines and realizing the importance of a well-trained employee to the success of the company/team morale
Making sure State and Federal asbestos regulations are followed
Frequent checks inside containment to maintain quality of work and making sure production is on time
Visual inspections of work after completion for quality and done in according to regulations
Responsible for equipment and materials on the job site
Ensure job sites are left clean of debris and trash and ready for the next subcontractors or reoccupation
All work is local, travel beyond 1.5 hours from capital region is unlikely
Knowledge of basic construction techniques, and practices concerning asbestos, mold or lead-based paint removal or demolition and deconstruction operations; Must possess Asbestos Supervisor Certification; Ability to lift 50 lbs. unaided, stand and climb on ladders, roofs and uneven / unstable surfaces; Ability to work as an effective team member; Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships; Ability to complete projects in a timely manner; Effective communication, organization, problem-solving, initiative, and leadership skills.
Work is performed primarily in mostly residential but also some commercial and/or industrial building areas. There is exposure to high equipment noise, chemical fumes, and potential electric and machinery hazards. Field conditions outdoors are varying weather conditions, with varying low to high equipment noise; walking on changing ground surfaces; and there is some driving in various weather conditions.
