Mobile Maintenance Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Graymont Cricket Mountain Plant located near Delta, UT is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Mobile Maintenance Supervisor. This position will focus on supervising, coaching, and continued training of a team of approximately 4 mobile mechanics/lubrication technicians.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Supervise the operations of the Mobile Maintenance department, with an emphasis on Graymont’s Maintenance Excellence Program to ensure the highest standards are achieved in the areas of safety, personnel, plant efficiency, availability, reliability, preventative maintenance, and product quality.
•Work with the other functions of the Maintenance Excellence Program team (purchasing/inventory, planning/scheduling, and reliability) to maximize maintenance department performance.
•Responsible for planning, scheduling and execution of all plant mobile equipment work orders per the Maintenance Excellence standard.
•Manage all mobile maintenance contractors.
•Responsible for planning and organizing all major equipment rebuilds and new equipment purchases including but not limited to requesting quotes, updating capital management 5 yr plan, preparing justifications, etc.
•Ensure compliance with all internal and external health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
•Ensure the maintenance workforce is effectively developed, deployed, and managed.
•Maintain and utilize the company’s equipment, assets, and resources to ensure maximum long-term value.
•Implement plant and company initiatives and ensure they are clearly communicated, understood, and followed within the plant.
•Develop and implement initiatives to improve maintenance department performance (increase equipment reliability and decrease maintenance cost).
•Contribute to the success of Graymont’s lime business by sharing information and applying Graymont-wide best practices.
•Maintain effective relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and local communities.
•Perform on-call duties in rotation with leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Proven track record of developing and maintaining a safe work culture.
•Proven teambuilding and leadership skills.
•Plant operations experience (production, maintenance, quality, safety, environmental compliance, and administration).
•College or University degree in a related field, or Journeyman (Heavy Duty Mechanic, Millwright or Electrician), with a minimum of 4 years heavy industrial experience (maintenance, production or engineering and preferably supervisory experience) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Well organized and able to process large amounts of complex information, effective operational troubleshooting skills and effective decision-making skills.
•Understand the proper methods employed in replacing or maintaining typical mechanical equipment (including, but not limited to, haul trucks, front-end loaders, and mining drills).
•Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft programs, and JD Edwards.
