Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many years to come. Reporting to the Planner, Senior Operation and Maintenance, the successful team player will be responsible for the short- and long-term planning and scheduling processes of our mobile fleet. Key responsibilities include maintaining and improving current SAP processes and providing input and support for any additional applications or systems we might implement to enhance our maintenance program. This proactive approach is essential to maximize availability and reliability while elevating the SAP and technical support provided to our entire maintenance team. Planners will also be responsible for committing to the weekly maintenance schedule for our fleet of underground mobile equipment.

Schedule: 4x3 Mon-Thurs / Tues – Fri,10 hr. shifts or 5x2 Mon-Friday, 8 hr. shifts
