The Role and the Company
P&K Stone, LLC is a privately owned supplier of aggregate materials to the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex and Southern Oklahoma. As a company, we are firmly committed to providing the highest quality construction materials with the best service and reliability for our customers at a competitive price.
P&K Stone, LLC offers high quality crushed stone, manufactured sand and recycled concrete. Our aggregate materials are used in a wide range of construction aggregate applications including infrastructure projects, commercial projects and residential projects.
The Mobile Equipment Fleet Manager role is based in Chico, Texas and reports directly to the Vice President of Aggregate Operations.
What You’ll Get To Do
•Manage a solid maintenance program to ensure acceptable levels of reliability and utilization for all assets including the inventory of critical spare parts necessary to minimize downtime
•Manage the equipment repair and rebuild process
•Internal mobile mechanics
•Internal mobile PM technicians
•Manage the collection and reporting of equipment hours
•Utilize information to ensure PM interval compliance
•Utilize information to manage fleet utilization
•Track oil sampling data and ensure corrective actions, if necessary
•Establish a program of life cycle planning by Class for all equipment
•Repair, Rebuild, Replace
•Build and maintain an annual equipment fleet operating budget
•Identify and implement a CMMS program that integrates with the financial system
•Equipment downtime tracking
•Manage third party equipment transportation for:
•Participate as a key member of the executive management team
•Participate in representing the Company in the local community
Essential Experience And Skills
•In depth knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and repair processes
•Ability to communicate effectively at the field level and with management
•Have a sense of urgency and be proactive
•Ability to develop a program/department and drive expected results
•Ability to analyze options and present a recommendation based on quantitative information
•Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
Preferred Experience And Skills
•Bachelor’s or Associates degree
•10 or more years of mobile equipment maintenance, preferably with current or past roles in management of equipment maintenance and utilization
•Experience interfacing with external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, community organizations, or local chamber of commerce
Work Environment
•Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
