CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector

Atlantic Sintered, an employee owned company, is at the forefront of innovation in powdered metal technology. We are dedicated to excellence and innovation in every aspect of our work, and we're seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Wrentham, MA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is a description of the duties and responsibilities of the CMM programmer / Quality Control Inspector (not limited to the following):

A. Operate and maintain CMM equipment to perform measurement, inspection and testing of production parts.

B. Write programs for CMM using part prints and solid models

C. Document each CMM program including pictures, drawings, and diagrams as needed.

D. Create work instructions for each CMM program that can be followed by the Quality Inspections and production personnel.

E. Perform gage R&R studies as required for new programs.

F. Write programs for the inspection of powder metal tooling.

G. Mounts and installs tools, fixtures or work pieces on a CMM

H. Perform final and in process inspections per inspection plans

I. Reads and interprets part drawings to develop measurement

J. Inspect parts to the CMM plan.

K. Assist with fixturing concepts to inspect parts on the CMM

L. Train other employees on the operation of the CMM

M. Assist with other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

The following is a brief description of the technical skills and experience required:

A- Ability to read and write English.

B- Ability to use a micrometer, caliper.

C- Ability to read part prints.

D- Ability to use MS excel, word, outlook, explorer.

E- Organized and detail oriented.

F- Min 5 years work experience

G- Aptitude to work tolerance +/- .0001”

H- Ability to use all QC inspection equipment including, Optical Comparator, CMM, and gear checking equipment.

I- Familiarity with Zeiss CMM is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.30 - $28.25 per hour
