Precision machining company Magnus Hi-Tech Industries, seeks a CMM Programmer [PC-DIMUS] with responsibilities for the operation of CMM inspection programs within the Quality Department. This position is also responsible for ensuring procedures are followed, resolving quality related issues with our customers and employees, the generation of reports, the tracking of data, and the recommendation of process improvements in a fast-paced environment by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programming
•The CMM Programmer will determine customer inspection requirements, develop proper inspection methods, inspect 1st piece, in-process, and Final Inspections.
•Represent MICOR in a professional and exemplary manner before our suppliers, employees, and community at large.
•Meet the requirements of the quality policy and quality objective of the company’s AS9100 / ISO9001 quality management system.
•Set up and run CMM programs for the purpose of verifying machined parts to the engineering requirements.
•Reviews job related material, processes documentation, and confirms accuracy and completeness.
•Works with all departments to improve quality of products.
•Assists production in the translation of results.
•Maintains CMM and CMM room cleanliness.
•Performs additional duties as directed by quality manager.
•Maintains documentation and control of non-conformance product if required.
•Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, internet software, MRP systems, and CMM software.
Preferred Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
•CMM operation and/or Machine shop inspection
•Blueprint reading and interpretation
•Each employee will be trained on FAI’s
•Each employee will be trained on NCR system
Equipment:
•Hexagon PCDMIS and Keyence
•Height gages and precision measuring equipment
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
•Three to five years’ experience operating CMMs, PCDMIS software experience preferred
•Programming experience preferred but not required
•Demonstrated skills in reading and interpreting blueprint and/or technical drawings proficiently
•Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
•Ability to complete inspections to ensure parts are within required tolerances
