Metal Polisher

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Polisher to join our dynamic team in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal finishing and polishing techniques, with a keen eye for detail and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of precision and finish.

Duties

- Perform polishing and finishing operations on various metal components to achieve desired surface quality.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand specifications for polishing tasks.

- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with company standards.

- Operate CNC machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and plasma cutting equipment as needed.

- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal parts using welding techniques and other manufacturing processes.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.

Experience

- Proven experience in metal polishing or similar roles within a manufacturing environment is preferred.

- Familiarity with CNC programming, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), electrical discharge machining, and stamping press operations is highly desirable.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various fabrication tools and machinery.

- Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.

- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
