The Polisher is responsible for the preparation, polishing, and finishing of stainless-steel piping, skids, and modular process systems in accordance with TKMS standards. This role ensures all stainless steel components meet quality and sanitary finish requirements for high-purity applications in biotech, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
- Polish stainless steel piping and components to required surface finishes (e.g., sanitary finish standards).
- Operate polishing equipment, grinders, and other finishing tools safely and effectively.
- Prepare welds and surfaces for inspection, ensuring smooth, defect-free finishes.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency of polishing across large volumes of components.
- Follow drawings, specifications, and quality requirements for surface finishing.
- Adhere to all safety standards and use proper PPE while working with polishing equipment.
- Collaborate with welders, fitters, and inspectors to ensure finished components meet quality standards.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in stainless-steel polishing, finishing, or related work.
- Skilled in using polishing equipment, grinders, and hand tools.
- Knowledge of sanitary finishes and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent results.
- Ability to work standing for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in high-purity industries (biotech, pharma, or food).
- Previous experience polishing modular skids, piping, or pressure vessels.
