The Maintenance Planner is accountable for development of comprehensive work packages, supporting excellence in execution of the right work at the right time, by multi-discipline trades, including internal and external department resources for a broad cross-section of equipment.

Planners are recognized for their expertise in applying planning process ‘best practices’ and should be capable of planning work for multi-disciplinary trades against a broad cross-section of equipment. The focus is on job planning, not craft planning. Planners typically require equipment knowledge breadth and capability to interact and plan for multi-discipline trades. A ‘craft’ background (certificate of qualification) is beneficial.

+ Walk-Down of identified work must be completed utilizing the ‘Walk-Down’ Template + Tasks, Craft & Craft Duration, Parts & Materials, Services (rentals) estimating must be complete and accurate based on validated scope utilizing the ‘Estimating’ Template + Materials and non-human resources must not be missed, however must not be wasted + Effective use of scheduling software to produce a detailed schedule laying out the planned work
