Maintenance Mechanic (Steel Warehouse)
Summary: Complete activities concerned with the company's facility maintenance, and repair of equipment. Other duties may be assigned.
Salary: $24.00 - $27.00/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
•Actively participate in Oregon Metals' Safety Program.
•Identify and resolve machine problems
•Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
•Demonstrate proficiency in welding
•Must have ability to replace chains, all types of belts, and valves used in the plant
•Must have the ability to identify and replace bearings, sprockets, bushings, gearboxes, including lubrication requirements
•Must be able to perform preventive maintenance, plus lubrication on the production lines and support equipment as required, independent of other mechanics.
•Demonstrate ability to utilize math in fraction and decimals
•Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot replace various types of pumps
•Demonstrate ability to fabricate
•Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems
•Perform the minimum requirements for maintenance safety initiatives
•Preferred knowledge to operate scissor lift, boom lift, and forklift
•Must be able to lift 50lbs on a repeated basis over a normal workday and climb ladders safely

•High School Graduate; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Math Ability:
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Computer Skills:
•To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
