Job Title : Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Onsite – Tamarac, FL
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (EST), with additional hours as needed
Salary: $93,000
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the design and improvement of production machinery and processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality in a dynamic manufacturing
environment. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across production, quality, materials, and engineering to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, machinery, and workflows.
•Ensure all processes comply with OSHA and environmental regulations and promote ergonomic safety.
•Support new product development by defining processes, developing tools and gauges, creating work instructions, and coordinating with engineering and production teams.
•Develop and implement systems such as FMEA, SPC, Process Capability Analysis, and DOE to maintain and improve product quality.
•Utilize lean manufacturing tools to drive continuous improvement and efficiency across operations.
•Lead capital equipment acquisition and facility layout planning projects.
•Analyze floor space utilization and recommend plant modifications, equipment placement, and workflow enhancements.
•Work closely with design engineering, purchasing, and suppliers to support material and tooling decisions.
•Identify opportunities for automation and lead the design, build, and implementation of small automation projects; manage vendor-led larger automation projects.
•Support the development and tracking of key production metrics including OEE and TEEP.
•Provide technical support for specific manufacturing challenges and contribute to cross-functional problem-solving.
•Create and maintain documentation including bills of materials, work instructions, routers, and jigs.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Experience with project management and leading cross-functional initiatives.
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
•Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools.
•Knowledge of process design, work instructions, tooling, and production line optimization.
