- Provide technical leadership and oversight on project/task specific work including delegating, reviewing, and self-performing activities
- Perform project engineering tasks including customer/vendor interface, scheduling, creating purchase requisitions, and creating work authorizations
- Create design models and detailed drawings using 3D CAD software and other design methods
- Perform engineering calculations in support of design/modeling activities
- Perform assembly, testing and inspection of mechanical components and systems
- Perform project engineering activities (task plans, schedules, etc.)
- Specify procurement requirements for mechanical components
- Prepare packages of drawings and associated documentation in accordance with approved standards, policies, and procedures
- Review engineering drawings for correctness, tolerances, and manufacturability
- Work closely with engineering, purchasing, production, and other teams to ensure design work meets requirements
- Work with data management tools to organize and manage project data
- Evaluate and suggest improvements to product designs and design/drafting processes
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2-5 years of experience
- Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and other mechanical engineering concepts
- Excellent math skills, including advanced geometry, calculus, and physics
- Familiarity with CAD and other mechanical design software
- Creative thinking and innovation
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of target user and market
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, technical presentation, graphic visualization, and Microsoft Office proficiency skills
