Description

United is seeking a mechanical engineer to join our team and assist in the design, analysis, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the various custom products and equipment utilized in our pipeline liner systems.

Requirements for the role:

- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with strong mechanical aptitude. - 3+ years of work experience in a mechanical engineering environment.

- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles, design processes, and systems.

- Proficiency in 3-D CAD software such as SolidWorks, SolidEdge, or Inventor.

- Ability to draft manufacturing drawings.

- Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

- Basic experience with computational and experimental analysis methods (FEA, etc.).

- Proficiency in MS Office software.

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

- Ability to apply engineering principles to solve complex problems.

- Good project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.

- Some travel is required; possibly international.

Preferred skills and experience:

- Familiarity with oilfield construction and equipment.

- Familiarity with pipe and piping design.

- Knowledge of hydraulic equipment and machine design.

- Experience working with thermoplastic materials.

Location:

This is an in-person position based at our headquarters in Durango, Colorado. A relocation package is available for qualified candidates.
