Position Overview: The CSG Mechanical Engineer is responsible for creating mechanical designs for new project sales opportunities and new product development. This role involves close collaboration with the Business Manager and the Engineering Team to create detailed submittal documentation, system drawings, bills of materials, scopes of work, and assembly instruction documents.
Reporting Relationship: The CSG Mechanical Engineer reports to the CSG Business Manager.
Develop and implement system mechanical designs for various projects.
Engage in detailed technical discussions to determine project specifications and requirements.
Create comprehensive mechanical drawings and documentation to support project implementation.
Perform thorough technical evaluations and recommend effective solutions to optimize system performance.
Support the assembly phase by providing expert troubleshooting and technical guidance.
Ensure that all designs and implementations adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all projects.
Continuously explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance mechanical design capabilities.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices and workflows.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for mechanical systems.
Experience in related segments, industry/manufacturing, telecommunications, utility, mechanical systems, and control.
Proven experience in designing mechanical systems and schematics.
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in CAD software for creating mechanical drawings and schematics.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation and design.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
Knowledge of electrical systems and power distribution products, and familiarity with complementary and competitive products.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
4 yr college degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or
Experience using SolidWorks and other mechanical design software preferred.
