Job Overview: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering tools and software. The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in project development from conception through execution.

Essential Responsibilities

- Assist with developing detailed quotations based on customer specifications

- Conduct calculations, as needed

- Assist with creating detailed assembly drawings

- Interface as required with Designers and Draftsman

- Create bills of materials as required

- Assist with the development of factory acceptance test procedures

- Assist with the development of factory integration test procedures

- Assist with the execution factory acceptance procedures

- Assist with commissioning equipment

- Assist in developing operations manuals

- Assist with troubleshooting when necessary

- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with applicable federal and state regulations

- Perform other duties as required by management

- Assist with the creation of detailed flow diagrams based upon project requirements

- Assist with the creation of fabrication drawings

- Assist in designing mechanical control systems suitable for use in hazardous locations (in compliance with domestic and international standards)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

- Background knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

- Must possess the ability to thrive in a team environment and work well with others

- Must be detail-oriented; achieve thoroughness and accuracy when completing project-oriented tasks

- Must have strong planning, organizational, and written communication skills

- Must have a commitment to continuing professional development

- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering

- Basic understanding of flow diagrams

Desired Characteristics

- Hands on experience working with pneumatic or hydraulic equipment

Qualification/Requirements: Bachelor of Science from an ABET accredited engineering program.
