Va Transformer, a leading manufacturer of custom-engineered transformers, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Pocatello, Idaho. This role is ideal for a dynamic and innovative professional with a passion for excellence in engineering and a minimum of two years of experience in a related field. Our ideal candidate will possess either an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and will demonstrate a strong foundation in engineering principles and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging.
- Conduct product testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve product designs for manufacturability and efficiency.
- Utilize CAD software for design and simulation purposes.
- Perform stress analysis and thermal analysis of transformer components using appropriate engineering methods and software.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design drawings and specifications, project reports, and product manuals.
- Participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Ensure projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints.
- Stay abreast of advancements in mechanical engineering and related technologies.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of material properties and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools is a plus.
