Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
•Work under general supervision of the Director of Engineering.
•Prepare specifications for purchased components and (sub) systems.
•Prepare design proposals for new equipment and modifications to current designs.
•Work with drafters, designers and other engineers, as assigned, to lead or participate in team efforts.
•Assist production with support in resolving problems arising in the shop during the manufacturing process.
•Accomplish all assigned tasks within the constraints of customer requirements, cost effectiveness and Texas Oil Tools design standards.
•Prepare engineering design documentation and procedures for engineering processes, equipment operation and performance testing.
•Maintain liaison with individuals and units within or outside the organization acting on technical matters pertaining to the field.
•Follow all applicable department, company and corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements
•Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
•Working knowledge of Coiled Tubing Pressure Control Equipment.
•Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
•Minimum of one year experience in the design and development of oil and gas service equipment and/or pressure control equipment preferred.
•Proficiency in the use of SolidWorks or comparable CAD system.
•Working knowledge of standard manufacturing processes and practices.
